Job Purpose

The SRE DevSecOps Tech Lead role is typically a full-time position that may require availability for on-call rotations to address critical incidents. The role can be remote or on-site, depending on the organization's requirements. It involves working closely with cross-functional teams and may include occasional travel for team meetings, training, or conferences.

Key Responsibilities

• Tech Lead: Coordinate other SRE DevSecOps engineers
• System Reliability: Ensure the availability, scalability, and performance of our systems by monitoring, alerting, and responding to incidents. Also Ensure the design will meet the SLO and SLA.
  • Design and Improving Reliability for System and Services
  • Designing for failure and recovering from failure.
• Security Integration: Embed security practices into the CI/CD pipeline, ensuring that security is an integral part of the development process.
• Automation: Develop and maintain automation scripts and tools to streamline deployment, monitoring, and management of applications and infrastructure.
  • Implement Infrastructure as Code
  • Maintain the CI/CD pipeline

• Documentation: Write the Low-Level Design and operating procedures.

• Quality: Perform the Operational Readiness Reviews

• Incident Management : Lead incident response efforts, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Collaboration: Work closely with development, operations, and security teams to align on best practices and objectives.
• Monitoring and Metrics: Implement and monitor metrics and dashboards to provide visibility into system performance and security, specifically the availability and the quality of the service
• Compliance: Ensure systems comply with industry standards and regulations, such as PCI-DSS, DORA, IBM FSCloud, ISO-27001 …

• Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement in reliability, performance, and security through proactive analysis and recommendations.

Your profile

Education

Master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Experience

Minimum of 5 years of experience in site reliability engineering, DevOps, or systems engineering with a focus on security.

Minimum of 2 years of experience in technical leadership in SRE or DevOps.

Languages

• English fluent
• French fluent

Position Skills 

Certifications
Relevant certifications such as IBM Cloud SRE is a plus

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in programming languages such terraform, python, bash, helm; familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Proven experience with Cloud technologies (AWS, GCP, Azure and ideally IBM) and associated services such as open-source services (ex: OpenShift, Postgres, Kafka, MongoDB)
• IBM Cloud Knowledge is a plus

• Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, practices, and tools; experience with security scanning tools such as OWASP.
